“ Ordered take out from here! Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The naan, while decent, didn't quite live up to expectations. It was a bit bland and didn't have that soft, buttery richness that I usually look for in a great naan. However, the shrimp coconut curry was absolutely delicious. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the coconut milk base had a wonderful balance of creaminess and mild sweetness, making it a standout dish. The chicken saag was also very good, well seasoned and packed with flavor. The chicken was tender, and the spinach sauce had just the right amount of spices to make it comforting yet bold. Although the naan didn't impress as much, the other dishes more than made up for it. All in all, a satisfying meal with a couple of highlights that I'd definitely go back for. ”
“ Delicious food. Amazing service. You feel like you are a guest in someone's home. We were checked on numerous times. The food came out timely and absolutely to die for! Will continue to come back again and again! ”
“ I was in Winston-Salem for a couple of days with my husband. Before leaving the area, I suggested we get lunch from Nawab. We were so glad we stopped in for lunch. The restaurant is small, yet cozy. The food at Nawab is one of our favorites. The decor is great. Service is good. The prices are fair. Their lassi is one of my husband's favorite lassi. The vegetarian options are plentiful and delicious. We tried rosemary naan and it was delicious. I had goat curry and it was also delicious. We brought food and lassis home for our family. I highly recommend Nawab! ”
“ Service is always impeccable! Best Indian food I've had around the triad area. Everything is cooked to perfection and the overall vibe in the restaurant is fantastic. ”
“ Always delicious but make sure you get there before 9. When they say they close at 10, it means all employees leave at 10, so the kitchen closes at 9:30 & you will be escorted out with a to-go-box at 9:45 so they can wash the dishes! ”
“ Met a friend for lunch who has been loving Nawab after recently trying it and I'm so glad I finally made it. I've had this spot on my list but haven't ended up here until now. I got the tikka masala and it was delicious and flavorful. ”
“ Another great Indian restaurant in Winston Salem! Nawab has been my go to as of recently, their food is always so savoury and so flavorful! They have an amazing selection for their lunch menu, and their menu in general has something for everyone! I usually get takeout but I went there recently and the service was amazing. They constantly came and checked up on us, we had wine and theyd come around and pour the wine for you.The restaurant itself is beautiful and has sprinkles of Indian heritage all throughout! Definitely a must try in Winston Salem! ”
“ One of my favorite things is when I try a new spot and it lives up to all the hype. I finally tried Indian food a little over a year ago (I'm late to the party, I know) and since then I've been looking for the best local places. I'd heard good things about Nawab and decided to give it a shot. The inside is clean and has an upscale feel to it. We were seated quickly and given some time to look over the menu as well ask ask a few questions. We ended up going with the lamb vindaloo and tandoori chicken tikka with rice and a side of naan. Both of these were new dishes to us and they didn't disappoint. They were fresh, flavorful, and had the perfect spice level. Afterwards we decided to try a dessert and went with the gulab jamun, which they recommended. It was delicious! ”
“ This was a really good dinner experience. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by the staff and sat immediately. People quickly came and checked on us to take our order. They explained the menu to us and their spice scale. After we ordered, the food came out maybe within less than 10 minutes, it was very quick service. Everyone was extremely pleasant. We ended up getting lamb biryani, mango lassi, Palak paneer and goat tikka masala. The food was delicious. If you enjoy spice, I would definitely suggest getting about a four or five on the spice scale. I am a huge fan of Indian food, so I am very particular when it comes to eating this type of food. This is definitely a restaurant I would suggest trying!! They also have a good amount of parking right outside the restaurant. ”
“ Went to see my friends (and favorite eye doctor) for dinner in Winston. We had both seen some good looking reels about Nawab so we committing to giving it a try. It's located in a little shopping center. It's very unassuming from the outside but inside it actually quite large and vibrant. Even for a weeknight the joint was jumping. Appreciate that my friends thought to make a reservation. I convinced them to get Gobi Manchurian (lightly battered Cauliflower florets glazed in tangy sauce) as an appetizer. I had recently tried it elsewhere for first time and enjoyed. Their variation was extremely good! The sauce was so tasty and plentiful, but not to a point where the battered cauliflower suffered from getting soggy. They had nice crunch and enjoyed the other sautéed veggies within. Can tell their make their food fresh daily. Website also says that their food is all natural with no additives or preservatives. Great start! Of course we had to order multiple servings of Garlic naan (Unleavened white flour bread baked with fresh garlic and cilantro). Love me some Naan. You know you gotta eat more pieces than you wanna admit. Theirs was very very soft and yummy garlicky. Perfect for soaking up all the delicious sauces in our appetizer and entrees. Be sure to let them know how spicy you like your dishes - mild, medium, hot or Indian hot. I think I got it medium which gives just a little heat. I got the Palak Paneer for my entree. It comes with a side of basmati rice. The dish is made with fresh spinach with homemade cheese cubes cooked in mild spices & herbs. Basically saag paneer, but a different name. This paneer dish was so good. Lots of cheese and the spinach was silky and yum. The rice was perfectly cooked too. I love meat, but will be honest I did not miss it. This entree (and the appetizer) were so flavorful and filling. I even took some home. Guess that's why vegetarian dishes are mainstays of Indian diet as the stand alone. The reality matches the videos y'all! This meal satisfied my Indian food cravings ten fold. I will be back on a future Winston visit. ”
